Victor Colorado...exploring the Mines

Went to Victor Colorado to do some exploring, and picture taking. My husband and I visited several mines and to our surprise we are able to get up close and even walk around in some of them. The mines we visited were the Independence (owned by Stratton), Theresa Mine (owned by Molly Kathleen), Vindicator Mine, and American Eagle Mine. Burrrrrr.....it was so cold on Sunday when we did our shoot with the McKenrick family. But we pushed through it and were able to get some awesome shots. This family has their hands full! Toni & Frank were married on July 9th, 2011 at the Garden of the Gods Club. Wow does this venue have a fantastic view! We lucked out with the rain...well it only rain for 15min. After the ceremony we traveled out to Black forest to La Forte Conference & Retreat. This was a hidden treasure. Tucked back far from the road, in the mist of many trees is a rustic hall and adobe church. We were able to get some great photos here. We also had the privilege to work with Zoonadu Productions. They did the videography for the wedding. Very talented individuals. Enjoy the pics!

We are also volunteering to the Colorado Springs Wedding for Warriors-taking place on November 10th. This is a day for military couples to have the wedding of their dreams that they were not able to have. Peaks and Pasties with Dangerous Curves Ahead: Berlesque on the Go-Go!

Last night at the Thirsty Parrot the Peaks and Pasties performed with a berlesque troop from NY! The show was amazing! The dancers were talented and put lots of humor into their acts and was fun to watch.

Shannon & Joey's Engagement Shoot Manitou Springs

We finally got Shannon and Joey's engagement shoot done on Saturday. Some how we lucked out and did not get rained on. We started out in Downtown Colorado Springs at Colorado Collage. We got some great pictures there, then ventured to Manitou Springs Penny Arcade. This area has become one of my favorite places to shoot at. We were able to catch some hilarious pictures of the two of them having fun. Then we were off to Cheyenne Canyon. The mountains were beautiful and smelled wonderful! There were lots of people at Helen Hunt Falls but we managed. Maghann and I have finished the editing and here are some of our favorites!

Manitou Springs Penny Arcade Family Shoot

Saturday May 8th we were off to Manitou Springs to shoot some family portraits at the Penny Arcade. This is one our favorite spots to take our kids to have some fun playing and riding the rides...they never want to leave. The shoot went great! The weather wasn't too bad, as long as the wind wasn't blowing. Shannon is a very good friend of Maghanns (and me) and was very easy to photograph. Her son Clayton is quite the poser in front of the camera. Enjoy the pictures! Zombie Crawl in Manitou Springs

On Saturday May 1st, 2010 was a Zombie Crawl. I have never been to one before but some of my family members have been the year before. So what it is a a bunch of people that dress up like zombies and walk down Manitou Blvd. They were growling, moaning, and eating people. My sister-in-law, cousin, and the kids dressed themselves up and poured blood all over themselves. I have to say I had a great time. Maghann and I met June & Stephen at Garden of the Gods yesterday for their engagement shoot. The weather was a bit windy at times...but it was a beautiful day with the sun shinning. W did some hiking and climbing and was a bit worn out. We ran into a lot of other photographers in the area also doing engagement pictures. Some of them not so nice...afraid of the competition! June & Steve were wonderful to work with! They were at ease the entire time and we all did a lot of laughing! Now comes the nitty gritty work...editing and enhancing the pics. As soon as we are done, we'll post some!

Garden of the Gods

Engagement Shoot

Stephanie and David booked a Wedding with us, and with the package they recieved a free engagement shoot..so on Saturday the 20th of March we all ventured out to Monument Valley Park in Colorado Springs to start the shoot. We were very lucky that the weather held out and wasn't windy and cold as they had perdicted. After the park we drove to Cheyenne Canyon and to fabulous pic in the snow. The mountians were absolutly beautiful!!! After we got all we could in the mountians we had a great idea to go to the Trolly Museum. If you haven't been there before its a great place to learn and see pics of past history of Colorado Springs. We all had fun playing on the trains and trolly cars. Stephanie and David were great to shoot and look forward to the Wedding in July!!! Check out some of there pics at mandmphotos.net!
